I have been designing and creating theatre sets for schools for over 10 years. My role is to expose students to the design process and technical production. I love collaborating with students, teachers and technicians and the unique creative challenges and opportunities that naturally occur in this environment, such as discovering innovative methods and materials that meet time, budget, student and curriculum needs. My design for ‘The Insect Play’ was created using techniques inspired by Eric Carle and applied on a much larger scale. Children’s books are a constant influence on my designs and art work.
